M-37. 1786 - "Chart of the Friendly Islands" Hogg, London. 9 x 12, copperplate engraving with later color. from "Anderson's Large Folio of the Whole of Capt Cooks Voyages &c Complete". Shows "Hapaee"., "Tongataboo" and all the islands in between. Cooks track shown. $95.00

M-72 1826 "Carte de L'Australie, (partie sud-ouest de l'oceanie)" (Map of Australia, south-western portion of Oceanica) Adrien Brue, paris. 14x20, steel-plate(?) engraving with original hand-color in outline. Likely source is a later edition of his "Atlas Universel". An incredibly detailed map of "Nouvelle Hollande" that also includes "Nouvelle Zelande' as well as insets of some outlying islands and details of the area around Sydney. Piano-key border. Slight offsetting, but this is such a nice map that the offsetting is "overlookable". Ample margins and a clean impression. $180.00

M-58. c1831 untitled map of the Western Pacific. Baldwin & Craddock (SDUK), London. 10x10 on a 16x13 sheet. Later outline color with light wash to ocean. Marquesas to central Australia; 40deg N to 40deg S on a modified Mercator projection where the meridans are parallel and the latitude lines curve as one moves North and South. Like cool. Austrtalia with Sydney, Port Jackson, Port Hunter, Port Stephens, Port Mcquarrie and little else (whoops, forgot Port Phillip in the SE.) The projection makes this an interesting and eye-catching map. $35.00

M-64. 1841 (1845) "Map of part of the Island of Hawaii sandwich Islands showing the Craters and Eruption of May and June 1841 by the U.S. Ex Ex." from source listed in M-63. 4 1/2 x 7 BW. neat little plate (at least I think so). $25.00

M-66. 1852 3 harbor charts on one sheet. "Reconnaissance of Cuylers harbor, Island of San Miguel" (10x13), Reconnaissance of San Clemente Harbor (7x6), "reconnaissance of Prisoners Harbor" (7x60. Cuylers and San Clemente also have nice elevation views. Overall 17x13. This copy is colored and would look great framed on a office wall. $80.00

M-41. c1860 - Unrecorded map of Hawaii - "Insel Hawaii nacht Brigham" 8 x 6 BW lithographed map of the Big Island. Trimming along the bordered margin has eliminated enough of the printed words to make identification difficult. Not in Fitzpatricks "Early mapping of Hawaii", but resembles plate 48 and 49. Lava flows through 1859 shown, hence the dating. No sale recorded in Jolly. $255.00

M-55. 1860- "Map of Oceanica exhibiting its Various Divisions, Island Groups &c" S.A. Mitchell, Philadelphia. 1-x13, hand colored with decorative border. Lithograph from steel plate engraving. Inset map of the "Sandwich Islands" Attractive Pacific map that also shows most of the US west of Mississippi, though not in much detail. Definitely framable. Border and map in VG+ condition with no spotting, tears etc, $50.00

[View Photo] M-1. 1898 - "Hawaii" Rand McNally & Co, Chicago. 12 x 18 folio page in blue and silver. AKA "New Business Atlas map of Hawaii. VG+ with bright color. A most interesting rendition of the islands. The blue and silver format is particularly striking. $55.00
