Knickerbocker, NY Excellent detail in a clean, crisply engraved plate (one of the nicest we've seen). Sounding and a lot of coastal hachure make this an interesting and frameable plate. $35.00 M-39. 1864 - "Johnson's California with the Territories of Utah, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona". Johnson and Ward, NY. 16 x 23 with full hand-coloring. Uniform light age-toning, a few insignificant tears along margins, none affecting any other printed surface. Lower 2 inches of centerfold has been reinforced. Otherwise very good with solid bright color. AZ with 7 counties, 5 of which it shares on a horizontal plane with NM. Nevada without its Southern tip. $275.00 M-40. 1865 - "Johnson's Nebraska, Dakota, Idaho, and Montana", Johnson and Ward, New York. Double page, 17 x 24, hand-colored map of the west in transition. Montana with one county formed, while Wyoming is present but not mentioned and has a large "peninsula" jutting into Idaho. Idaho with 5 counties. Beautiful hand color that is still bright. 1873 - "Colton's California and Nevada" 24 x 17 hand-colored
lithograph by G.W Colton of New York. Colored by Counties with some
detailed survey info now present. Good railroad detail. "Las Vegas"
shown, one of the earlier maps to do so. Decorative border. Very frameable,
attractive map. $180.00 M-32. 1875 - "California" Morse & Gaston, NY. 5 x 7 hand-colored lithograph from the "Diamond Atlas". Many counties yet to be formed. This map is from the finest miniature American atlas of the mid-19th century. Note NM and UT extending to the California border $80.00. M-69
1875 "Clarke County, Iowa" 13 x 16 colored map of this
southern Iowa County. Source is the "Illustrated Historical Atlas
of the State of Iowa" by the Andreas Atlas Company. Based on modern
maps, several towns shown here have disappeared. Numerous farms noted

Covers the entire state save for a few of the peninsula counties. Hand colored by counties with the rail network overprinted in red. 26 x 13. VG+ condition. $50.00

Hand-colored 16 x 13 railroad map from the "Atlas of the State
of Illinois". Excellent color and great detail. One of the
nicest 19th Century maps of Illinois you will ever see. Condition is
Near Fine. $75.00 M-46. 1881 - "California" Rand-McNally and Co, Chicago. Outline printed color on a 24 x 19 map which includes Nevada. RRs shown and excellent topo detail. A superior individually issued folding map of a now somewhat developed state. $100.00 M-2.
1887 Cram's "Unrivaled Atlas of the World." Following plates
from the foregoing are offered at $25 each, 3 for $65. All are either
10x12 or 12x10 (height first). machine colored and in VG to VG+ condition:

Trading card maps from the Arbuckle Coffee Company. All are 1889-93
with printed color and are 3 x 5. Each has a map and a scene. a. Nevada
with scene of mine and works $30 [View Photo] M-57. 1891- "Indian Territory" Encyclopedia Britannica, NY. 9x11, printed colored in outline. has all the characteristics of crams of the period, in spite of the "Britannica" label. Outlined in blue with various "nations", "countries" and "lands" outlined in red. This version has an "Oklahoma Country" in the middle of the Territory surrounded by "Arrapahoes", "Wichitas", Chickasaw Nation", etc. Centers on Guthrie. Me?... well I think I'll head for "Sheridan's Roost" up there in "Cherokee Outlet Lands". One of the earlier stages of the great fiction that the Native Americans were ever going to get anything, so a historically significant map. $37.00 M-73.
The following two maps are from "Atlas to Accompany the Official
Records of the Union and Confederate Armies." 1891-95. Washington,
GPO There are 178 plates in the Atlas. M-73a Plate LXXXIII. Has nine
battles depicted, including "Sketch of ther Battle of the Wilderness,
Position of the 2d Corps", "Map of Engagement at Hanging Rock,
Roanoke County, VA" and "Sketch of the battle of Rutherford's
farm, VA". Remaining scenes are also Virginia battles VG+ with
a bit of dirt along very edge of plate, outside border and would frame

1894- Rand McNally "Indexed Atlas of the World" The following
city plates are available from this large folio atlas. All are in printed
color and dimensions are height by width. These are some of Rand McNally's
most attractive plates and their size makes them ideal for framing.
The indexed atlas is many time more scarce than its smaller contemporaries.
